Colombia has long been known for having a prime location on the planet for growing specialty coffee. Climate, altitude, soil – terroir in harmony to make everything happen just as it should. Three characteristics of this coffee make it particularly special.
First, this coffee comes from only twelve small holders in Huila, a renowned region of Colombia with a special reputation for coffee production. Second, the processing method is known as “double fermentation,” which means the coffee beans undergo a second washing process, thusly adding complexity and a sort of effervescence. Third, this is 100% Chiroso, a “new” and unique varietal originating in Colombia.
We taste mostly chocolate, cherry, and peach.
